Ive gone on three tours arranged by Maria at Azteca Travel, to Brazil/Argentina, France/England, and most recently Italy earlier this month. My mom has gone on at least 15 tours... Leer más with Maria, she has literally seen the world and has loved all of her trips. These trips haven't been just good trips, they have been amazing and super memorable experiences. They have all been Spanish speaking tours. The tours are fast paced and can be a but tiring at times, but in a wonderful way, and there are free days slipped in to break it up.
On our most recent trip, last month, 7 women in my family went to Italy, we did the "Golden Tour" of Italy --- Florence, Venice, Portofine, Cinque Terre, Gubbio, Rome, Genova, Verona, San Marino, Perugia, and the Vatican - there were also more small towns we went to. The trip was jaw-droopingly stunning and fun. It was the off season but our timing was great because we were in Venice on Carnival, Milan during Fashion Week, and in Rome on Ash Wedsnday so we went to the Popes Ash Wednesday blessing. Just by luck, my mom got to meet and talk to the pope and it was really cool. Im not religious or anything but the Pope was amazing. We had a EuropaMundo guide, Joseba, who was just driving us around in a van and it was amazing because he was able to go lots of places that bus tours cant go because of size. Joseba was a great guide, if you get him on your trip, you'll have a blast.
On the trip we had a couple of different guides and I was struck by how highly they regard and talk about Maria. They told us that all the guides love her and that if she ask for something, they will make it happen because they value her buisness so much. Seriously book with her and you'll get the best trips!

Our experience at Azteca Travel was amazing we went on a tour to Spain, Portugal, and France. They gave us all the information of where we were going to and... Leer más our schedule of what we were going to do everyday. It was really fun traveling with them and I felt so safe with the tour group. They have communication and security. Besides safety it was also very fun. We went to many Wineries and Cathedrals and it was amazing. They helped out so much and also gave us free meals most of the time. I would love to travel with Azteca Travel again and would recommend it.

I've gone on a couple tours with Azteca Travel and have enjoyed both of them thoroughly. My first trip was three years ago to Mexico. Azteca Travel had offered a... Leer más package that included the general Mass with the Pope during his visit to Mexico City. The tour was entirely in Spanish. I am not a fluent Spanish speaker. I took Spanish in High School so I had some fundamental understanding. I read Spanish much better than I can understand the spoken language. At the time I had been trying to improve my language skill and I thought this would be a great opportunity.
My second trip with Azteca Travel was to Jerusalem. I had always wanted to visit the Holy Land and when I learned of the Holy Land Tour offered through Azteca Travel I jumped at the opportunity. Again the tour would be entirely in Spanish. But, having had so much fun on the Mexico trip, I decided to give the Holy Land trip a chance and once again work on my Spanish language skills. I was not disappointed.
The formats for both trips were the same, and the preparation from Azteca Travel made both trips flow with ease. This sort of preparation was especially important for me, given my language handicap and at the same time I would be touring alone with Azteca Travel without any personal friends going along with me.
We begin a couple weeks before departure with a general meeting about an hour or so long. The entire tour group for the trip are asked to attend. A brightly colored and branded messenger bag is provided. We are asked to use this throughout the trip to help identify our group. Also some luggage tags also brightly colored and branded to help the porters group our luggages from hotel to bus and vice versa. A document is provided regarding the trip that lists in detail each day where we will be staying, what site we will see for that day, important information about the weather, and the type of clothing we should bring. Maria with Azteca Travel is a complete professional and explains some general traveling advice. These are things like: what we should bring in terms of luggage, how to best protect our passport and wallet, what currency we need to carry, how to manage luggage, how to manage weight, and a list of other things too long to list. Maria with Azteca Travel was kind enough to provide the documentation in English to me as well. This meeting also gave me a chance to become familiar with some of the people I'd be traveling with.
Each day on the tour has generally the same format. We get around on a combination of bus and foot. A local guide joins us on arrival and travels with the group giving a presentation of the sites. At times a specialized guide may be brought in. On both trips these guides have been caring and bonded with the tour group as one of us.
The day begins with breakfast provided by the hotel or a local eatery. This is part of the package. A lunch break, which is optional, is at a restaurant along the way. Before we disembark the bus for the day back at the hotel, a next-day rundown will be explained including what time we will need to wake up and if we need to pack to move to a different hotel in the morning. Dinner which is part of the tour package is usually at the hotel. After dinner some people take the evening to themselves, sleep early, or socialize with others in the group to go shopping or have drinks.
As a non-Spanish speaking person, I found it easy enough to find people that did speak English to varying degrees. I found people in the group on both trips to be kind and understanding to my particular situation. I had no problem establishing a niche of people who would help me out through some of the more difficult parts of the language and generally to hang out with and socialize throughout the trip. Maria with Azteca Travel was also available at times to help explain things in English to me when she wasn't busy guiding the group.
Azteca Travel makes an effort to make touring accessible. The hotels have all been very clean and pleasant and the food provided was pretty good and sometimes surprisingly so. Planning is given to reduce wait times at sites. This might mean waking up unusually early, like at 6am. On both trips there was a day or two planned that were more relaxing than being the constant tourist. On the Holy Land trip our group really loved the day spent camel riding and the time spent swimming the Dead Sea. Adequate bathroom breaks are also planned throughout the day which usually coincide with stops at various shops. On both trips we had a couple people with birthdays and Azteca Travel made an effort to celebrate them which was a fun diversion. On both trips, we've had people who were elderly and brought wheelchairs that were able to enjoy the tours. This is the kind of detail you just cannot get from any service.
To sum up, the organization is beyond my expectations. The sites picked are all very memorable. And the friends I've made I'll never forget.

I am so pleased, happy and content with my recent trip to Italy with Azteca Travel tours. There was 17 of us in total and it was amazing. We all... Leer más initiated this trip with confidence and trust since the first day. Maria is very professional, outgoing, observant, cautious, reliable, and loves to give surprises. For example: when arriving to Rome she took us to the hills and gave us the opportunity to see the city and it was breathtaking. Let's just say she made a lot of my dreams come true. She would always keep us informed and updated of the schedule. I am so happy to say that known of us had a bad experience because Maria also gives your safety tips before the trip she set a date for us to meet and explained everything and what to expect but truthfully my expectations were met and beyond. We started like friends, family but we all ended as a spiritual family after the retreat we all experienced together. We attended mass in the Vatican with the Pope like "WOW" that was another wonderful surprise. If you want to live a trip you've been dreaming about I recommend Azteca Travel tours all you have to do is arrive to the airport meet with her and be compliant with the schedule she has planned for you and just "Live the Moment " you will honestly experience them. The photos will speak for themselves.

Our recent pilgrimage trip to Italy was such a rewarding and wonderful experience. We had been looking for a company that would be able to include a Spiritual retreat in... Leer más San Giovanni Rotondo for months, nobody seemed to be able to fit it in to their itinerary, that was until I found agent Maria with Azteca Travel. I heard about her though a cousin of mine who did a pilgrimage to Holy Land last year and had only great things to say about Maria. We have just come back from the most fulfilling trip I've had in a very long time. Maria made it all possible! Thank you Maria! She was responsive, cooperative, respectful, tactful, reliable and friendly. All along our trip things ran very smoothly, I could see how she was on top of every detail making sure, transportation, tour guides, hotels, food reservations and all the little details were just perfect. She worked day in and out to ensure our trip went just as planned and even included some remarkable nice surprises along the way of breathtaking views, beautiful group moments, friendly and attentive gestures with all who traveled. Her attention to detail, the people she collaborates with, her travel advise is the greatest. I would encourage anyone planning to travel in a near future to talk to Maria to have her assist in planning the best experience you can have. I know I will reach out to her in the future if we have any group travel plans since I completely trust her and our recent experience went above and beyond expectations! Thank you Maria, God bless you! I can surely say Maria knows what she is doing, she is professional and knowledgeable.
